Community First Services and Supports
Community First Services and Supports (CFSS) is a Minnesota health care program designed to provide many options for individuals with disabilities to promote independence in their homes and communities. CFSS will replace the Personal Care Assistance (PCA) program and the Consumer Support Grant (CSG).
Key Features of CFSS:

Participant Control: CFSS emphasizes individual choice, allowing participants to select and manage their services and supports based on their needs.

Assistance Provided: The program offers help with activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and health-related tasks through hands-on assistance, supervision, or cueing.

Agency-Provider Model: Services are managed through an agency that employs the support workers.

Budget Model: Participants can hire and manage their own support workers, offering greater flexibility and control.
